Fazla Gıda takes into account the economic, ethical and environmental circumstances around food waste by providing innovative technological solutions such as connecting food donors and charities, allowing surplus food e-commerce between businesses. Our first product, FazlaGida donation platform, is providing professionals in the food industry the opportunity to offer their unsold but safe-to-eat products online to food banks. Food industry professionals can donate safe-to-eat products which are discarded at an earlier stage due to several reasons such as not conforming to the norm in shape, being close to sell best by date, which although perfectly healthy. (*Food bank is a non-profit, charitable organization that distributes food to those who have difficulty purchasing enough food to avoid hunger. Our aim is to expand this product to an e-commerce for surplus foods between businesses to utilize foods considering sell best by date and other constraints through right redistribution and matching.
