İbrahim Gökçen has been taking both local and global senior-level roles in big industrial companies for the last decade and managing AI and digital transformation in industries such as energy, transportation, oil & gas, manufacturing for the last three years.
He worked as the global CTO of Schneider Electric between 2018 and 2020; as the global Chief Digital Officer of Maersk between 2016 and 2018; as the leader of the SaaS portfolio of GE Digital between 2014 and 2016; as the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa CIO of GE between 2011 and 2014. Currently, he is the board member of Maersk Tankers, ZeroNorth, and StromaVision as well as the advisory board member of Blume Global, PNO, Forbes Ignite.
Mr. Gökçen invests in early-stage companies via angel groups: Sente Advisory in Chicago and Blue Angels in Boston. He is a limited partner and mentor at Fil Rouge Capital, which also invests in early-stage companies as well. He is the founder and the owner of the consulting firm located in the US, named Velocis Digital.
İbrahim Gökçen received his Ph.D. degree in AI from Tulane University and his bachelor’s degree from the Computer Science department at METU. As of today, he has three patents and more than twenty articles that are published through journals and conferences.
