Kurtuluş Eker

M. Kurtuluş Eker (Born in 1978), graduated from Marmara University in 1999. Following his graduation, he had been employed in various digital agencies’ creative and technology departments both as an executive and as a founding director respectively.

As an instructor; he gave lectures on digital marketing communication, visual communication design and user experience in various fine arts and communication faculties. Meanwhile, Kurtuluş also provided consultancy to various companies on these subjects.

As an entrepreneur, he first founded a digital design company called TasarımEvi in partnership with GKInfotech in 2003 and helped company to establish its expertise on UX/UI and digital technologies over the years. In 2007, combining his passion for creativity and entrepreneurship with his faith in digital, he founded Voden and transformed it into Turkey’s biggest digital agency in 8 years.

Kurtuluş have won and served more than 100 global and national brands from banking, finance, telecommunications, technology, auto, FMCG, media and consumer electronics industries. He led more than 1000 digital marketing communication, user experience, digital technology and mobile projects, including world first or Turkey first projects, and won more than 100 global and local awards.

In 2015, Kurtuluş signed one of the Turkish advertising sector’s biggest deals and made Voden a part of Publicis Groupe / Leo Burnett family.

Kurtuluş continues to work as the CEO of Voden & Leo Burnett Istanbul. He is also leading Digital & Technology in Publicis Groupe as the Board Member of Publicis One. He also mentors and invests in digital start-ups as a member of Turkey’s biggest angel investors platform, Galata Business Angels.
